School has really been taking over, and I really havent had the time to update. So i will update once a week.

The Halal cart in the union had fish and chips one day. The fish looked different from the time I had them in the SAC. They were different, much meatier. It was moist, and the breading was crunchy. There was a loud snap every time I took a bite it was fantastic. The fries were a bit garbage; I didn’t care fore them at all. You can’t have fish and chips without tartar sauce. In this case it wasn’t a packet; they were putting it together in the back. It was rather good, not too overpowering but not too overpowered by mayo. Overall the fish was better, but the fries were best left out.

Something I've always neglected was the little pizza counter in the middle of Benedict. I never really was in the mood for pizza. One day Mark came with some and the smell got in my bones. A flatbread pepperoni pizza made right before my eyes. I was happy about that, it was fresh. This wasn’t some reheated cardboard, no this was good stuff. It’s more like actual pizza then the stuff at the SAC. It’s really thin, but the cheese isn’t falling off. The sauce is better than what I could expect. The cheese is pretty good but a bit greasy. This is really awesome; it’s something I get a lot now.

Last night I ate at this diner right here! The heritage diner, maybe 10 minutes off of campus.

We started with calamari, but it’s not like any I’ve ever seen before. They were really good tender rings, but the breading was unorthodox. Usually it’s that crispy pale breading, but this was more like a breading you would use on a chicken cutlets. This made for an interesting texture and gave the calamari the onion ring effect. Very good but a little strange.

I’ve never had cream of turkey soup. This is some great stuff! Nice thick creamy texture, big pieces of potato and turkey. Really deep flavors here, I loved it.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for the COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. This was especially good due to the bread. It was like the French toast of my dreams. Hard shell, nice crust and yet just like cake on the inside. Literally the best I’ve had and the ham and turkey weren’t anything out of the park, but that bread made it. Soaked up all the flavor and the syrup and still had that crispy outside. One of the better monte cristos I’ve ever had. I only wish it would have come with some cole slaw or something, its weird having the ‘cristo without anything else.
Meals come and go, Ill always be eating!
