Evening one and all! Just getting over a cold I give you a week late update!

Gio wanted to go to this place on campus that's like a pseudo-restaurant called Wolfie's for his birthday. The namesake being our sports team. Not much more to say other then it gives a restaurant feel to a seemingly endless supply of take out for every other meal.

Fried ravioli is really hard to mess up. Here they were pretty good, a little too tough for my tastes. The interesting thing here was that the sauce they were using for them was like a salsa marinara hybrid. Spicy and chunky, full of black pepper it gave a spice to the otherwise plain ravioli. A last note that these came out after the entree, very odd indeed.

SLIDERS, YES ONCE AGAIN THESE LITTLE BABIES STOLE MY HEART. Grilled onions and bacon with some interesting sauce. The sauce was like onion dip and ranch dressing, it had some bite but still very creamy, it was great on the burgers. The buns were very floury and not in the way ginger is, like powdery and grainy. Fries were lackluster like most on campus, rarely if ever crispy. Another note this was my 1000th picture taken with my camera~!

Desert was better then I could have expected. Not cake, a molten brownie alla mode! Kick ass! It even had chocolate chips; I only had a bite or two but nothing to complain about. Another birthday wish to the darkness, a pretty good dinner.

The entire time I've been living here I have wondered,” Where are the sloppy Joes?” FINALLY sloppy Joe's appear, and they were mediocre. Not laden with sauce was this Joe, oh no this Joe was dry. The sauce is what makes it! A dry Joe isn't a Joe at all! It kind of tasted like leftover taco meat. Robbed of the of Joe the only satisfaction was that of the waffle fries. Seasoned well, crispy they deliver what the Joe couldn't; satisfaction!

Oh look at that Asian fellow! Isn't he cute? Yes as you might have guessed a Chinese buffet. Why there are snowmen in the window ill never know but hey this place was good. Mark, Volg and myself took the school bus to Wal-Mart and here we found GOLDEN BUFFET, a much overused name if I say so myself. There was a ton to choose from so I took it cart by cart, I didn't grab everything but the majority is here

PLATE 1(and 2): EGG ROLL, CHICKEN SKEWER, DOUNUGHT, BONLESS SPARE RIBS, CHICKEN WINGS
The egg roll was bland, needed some better cabbage flavor. The skewer was very good, almost like a brown sugar crust on it, meat was tender too. Who doesn’t love these doughnuts? Fluffy and just sweet enough they counter most of the salty around the plate. The spare ribs had plenty of sauce, no fat at all and weren’t overly chewy. These were some of the best spare ribs I've had. The wings weren’t anything special, but they were done right. Crispy skin is all you need, the moist meat was secondary. Overall this cart was a hit, nice appetizer esque foods. I got another plate of these and moved on.

PLATE 3: Sweet and sour chicken, Thai chicken, black pepper squid, lo mein, mei yun, general tsaos chicken and hidden beneath the noodles some baby bok choi.
this was a beastly plate if any there was. The S&S chicken wasn’t anything out of the ordinary it’s basically what you can get anywhere. The Thai chicken on the other hand was interesting, very nutty and thinly sliced. The squid was terrible, overcooked to the point where it was a tire. Lo mein was pretty good again nothing spectacular your average everyday lo mein. The other noodles were really thin and were tossed with different veggies, specially the bean sprouts I love so much. Beneath everything was the baby bok choi which was really well put together the flavor was there and they weren’t too floppy. Overall, again a big hit with me save the squid. Next...

PLATE 4: Twist bun, dim sum, pork dumpling, pepper chicken, peanut butter chicken and something ill get to in a second...
Twist bun was ideal, but missed a vital vital part of being good to me THE MEAT. It was a blank! no meat inside. It just doesn’t work without the meat inside. Don’t get me wrong it was the ideal bun just needed some meat. Dim sum was really strong, and I like that. Really big pork and garlic flavors, I was a big fan. The dumpling too was made of the same filling as the previous but with a tender soft blanket over it. Pepper chicken was too strong even for my tastes. Peanut butter chicken, this was a first for me. It certainly resonated with peanut butter flavor, terribly addicting. Then god this....

The sign above it made me double take. "Italian Taco", Imp not shitting you that’s what it was. I was flabbergasted. I didn’t know what to do. On one hand it was a travesty to my people. Yet on the other the sheer bizarreness of it and the food lover that I am couldn’t resist. I took one bite and I was sold. The worst possible idea ever. I can’t even tell you what kind of meat or cheese it was it was horrifyingly bad. I was only left thinking "what the fuck?" NEXT!!!

PLATE 5: Another doughnut, tuna roll and some BIG HONKIN WATERMELLON CHUNKS.
Now I don’t think sushi has a place outside of a sushi specified restaurant, but hell I just ate a fucking Italian taco how much further could I slink down. Inedible, it was like eating glue. the rice just wasn’t having it, waaay to sticky. The tuna albeit was better then expected. Watermelon was really good, just the way I like it. It was barley sweet really juicy and HUGE!
For about 10 bucks this was really really good, the fellas and I enjoyed it thoroughly. We will be going back.
That’s it for this week stay tuned!
